A frequent question that we are facing from industrial specialists is how to get an accredited welder certificate from a third-party inspection agency. VALIDITY OF THIRD-PARTY WELDER CERTIFICATION IN QATAR
Validity of welder certification as per AWS and ASME SEC IX is 6 months from the date of issuance. This welder certification is renewed every 6 months by EIWAA third-party certification services based on the continuous satisfactory performance of welders. The validity of the welder certificate is 3 years from the date of issuance as per BS EN ISO 9606 with 6-monthly continuity confirmation.
All the welder certification renewals are done based on the continuous satisfactory performance of welders by using supporting documents of radiography testing results used in production with the same welder ID. All the pipe welder certifications, including 5G, 6G, 6GR, and the plate welding qualifications of 2G, 3G, and 4G, were certified by AWS, ASME SEC IX, and BS EN ISO standards.
THIRD PARTY WELDER TESTING AND CERTIFICATION IN QATAR
Our purpose of certifying a welder through a welder qualification test is to ensure acceptable quality welds, complying with the international welding code requirements and client specifications. Welder testing and certification is mandatory for the fabrication of pressure vessels, storage tanks, piping, shipbuilding, and offshore platforms. Through third-party welder testing and certification, we can ensure qualification ranges of thickness, pipe diameter, welding position, material group, welding process, etc. The welder certification package includes visual inspection and NDT (radiography testing) reports, mechanical test results, a welder certificate, and a welder ID card. Third-party welder certification is mandatory for shipyards and ship repair companies, oil and gas contractors, structural steel fabricators, FPSO, oil and gas pipelines, etc.
WELDER TRADE TESTING AND CERTIFICATION IN QATAR
Fabrication companies, shipyards, manpower supply companies, etc. will conduct welder trade testing and certification in various welding processes of stick welding, arc welding, TIG, MIG, MAG, and FCAW welding by using our workshop facility and third-party welder assessment services. Welder trade testing and certification is completely for evaluating welder skill and competency for ensuring their practical skill. The welding trade test is for evaluating the skill assessment for flat position (1G/1F), horizontal position (2G/2F), vertical position (3G/3F), overhead position (4G/4F), pipe welding (5G), and all positions (6G—pipe welder).
Our welding engineer will be witnessing the welder trade and skill test by evaluating the criteria of arc striking, bead appearances, penetration quality, slag removal and cleanliness, welding defect controls (porosity, slag), etc.
