PADEYE LOAD TESTING IN OMAN
It is essential to examine pad eyes, lifting lugs, lifting hooks, lifting points, and lashing hooks on a yearly or periodic basis to ensure operational safety during lifting activities. Every padeye load testing inspection, and certification must be completed in compliance with the project specifications, API, LEEA, and DNV-ST-N001 standards. Our ASNT-certified NDT technicians used the proper techniques for eddy current testing and magnetic particle inspection to conduct an NDT examination of pad eyes subsequent to the padeye load testing. Our IRATA-certified rope access service experts will color-code and stencil pad eyes with SWL marks. A portable, hydraulic pad eye tester with varying capacities up to 350 tons must conduct pull testing and certifications of lifting lug inspection, lifting hook inspection and lifting points inspection. To explain it briefly, we are among the top offshore pad eye load testing services that have been authorized by the ABS, BV, DNV, RINA, and NK marine classification societies. We have access to all of the main ports in Oman as well as anchorages and offshore. Pad eye load testing inspection and certification codes and standards are as follows:
- DNV-ST-N001: Sections on lifting appliances, pad eyes load testing, and lifting lugs that include marine operations, safety, and marine warranties.
- DNV-ST-0378: Pad eyes, lifting hooks, and lifting lug inspection are covered in offshore platforms and jackets, including their design, inspection, testing, and certification.
- The requirements and procedures for proof load testing are covered in DNVGL-CG-0128: Load Testing of Lifting Appliances.
- Inspection, maintenance, and testing of pad eyes and lifting lugs are covered in API RP 2D: Operations and Maintenance of Offshore Cranes.
- The design and construction of pad eyes or lifting point inspection at fixed offshore platforms is requested by API RP 2A-WSD.
- Pad eyes and lifting hooks at offshore equipment or generally below-the-hook lifting devices are inspected and tested in accordance with ASME B30.20.
- ISO 7531: Wire Rope Sling Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance.
LIFTING POINTS CERTIFICATION IN OMAN
The norms and regulations for offshore safety should be met by all lifting points, including trunnions and lifting lugs. Offshore, dynamometer load cells, calibrated water bags, and lifting attachments must be used to undertake proof load testing, inspection, and certification of trunnions and lifting points. According to project specifications and offshore regulations, lifting points undergo annual certification and inspection, and 5-year load testing is carried out. A calibrated pad eye tester that complies with SOLAS and IMO regulations is used to lift lug pull tests offshore.
