PRV CALIBRATION AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES IN OMAN

Pressure Relief valves (PRVs) protect from excessive internal pressure in pressure vessels and pipe systems. When the PRV opens, a portion of the media discharges and the pressure inside the system falls to a safe limit when it reaches its MAWP. The valve safely closes when the pressure reaches the reseating set point. Following are the PRV Calibration and maintenance services in oman,

Using a calibrated pressure gauge and system medium (air or nitrogen),perform the pressure testing and set the PRV/PSV to its lifting and resetting pressure. 10% +/- 5% more than the valve lifting pressure is required for the resetting stage. Switch Seat tightness must be achieved for a minimum of 5 minutes or more in accordance with the client requirements. Test inlet pressure must be maintained at 90% of the set pressure to assess the sufficient seat tightness. Onsite calibration services of offshore rigs and vessels  are PRV Calibration Services, Gas Detector Calibration Services and Ship tank calibration Services.

Utilizing a calibrated pressure gauge and a medium (air or nitrogen), set the PRV/PSV to its lifting and resetting pressure and perform the pressure testing services. By 10% +/- 5%, the valve lifting pressure required for the resetting stage is exceeded. Seat tightness must be maintained for at least five minutes, depending on the customer's needs. The test inlet pressure must be maintained at 90% of the set-pressure in order to assess whether the seat tightness is sufficient.

Repair and maintenance services are offered for the following types of valves: diaphragm, globe, ball, butterfly, check, safety, needle, and plug.

Pop-up pressure testing is required for pressure relief valves up to 1".  In order to account for offshore safety calibration services, PRVs with an intake greater than 1" must be evaluated for reseat/blowdown.
