CRANE LOAD TESTING IN OMAN
Pedestal crane load testing is critical for ensuring safe and reliable lifting and rigging operations in marine and offshore environments. Our specialized crane load testing team for ships, vessels, yachts, and offshore rigs/platforms verifies each crane’s rated capacity, SWL, proof load, and crane load chart under controlled conditions. We assess structural integrity testing, safe functional testing, SWL testing, and proof load testing to ensure thorough lifting inspection and certification requirements.
We are accredited by ship classification societies of ABS, BV, LR, and DNV to perform the crane load testing and offshore crane inspection for all types of cranes, like pedestal, provision, engine room, knuckle boom, and cargo cranes, etc. Thorough examination and certification of deck-mounted pedestal crane load testing covers wire ropes, man-riding winches, lifting gears, limit switches, auxiliary hooks, and main hooks with nondestructive testing of eddy current inspection, MPI, and/or DPI inspections.
THIRD-PARTY CRANE LOAD TESTING IN OMAN
Third-party inspection and certification of lifting equipment and work equipment mainly deal with crane load testing, offshore crane inspection, crane integrity testing, and load chart verifications. Third-party crane load testing shall be associated with SWL testing, proof load testing, slew bearing motion testing, rocking motion testing, and crane health check monitoring based on the ship classification rules and LEEA LOLER code of conduct. Our third-party crane inspectors are LEEA certified by using calibrated water weights, water bags, proof-load water-filled weight bags, and dynamometer load cells.
We are employing the safe techniques of water bag load testing systems as effective and controllable testing methods for pedestal crane load testing and ship crane proof load testing requirements. Our ship crane load testing process complies with ISO 9927-1, ISO 4310, API 2C, LOLER, ADNOC, and IMO regulations.

5-YEAR CRANE LOAD TESTING AND CERTIFICATION IN OMAN
Our lifting inspection engineers, who have been authorized by LEEA, adhere to the pre-inspection criteria of structural and mechanical inspection of cranes through comprehensive inspections and functional testing. Static load testing of 100% SWL and dynamic overload testing of 125% SWL or ship classification regulations are prerequisites for pedestal crane load testing and certification.
OFFSHORE CRANE INSPECTION IN OMAN
Offshore crane inspection and certification in ships, vessels, and yachts is mainly in accordance with ship classification rules, and fortunately EIWAA is the right crane load testing solution with major IACS and port approval.
- SOLAS Regulation: The third-party crane certification standards for all lifting equipment, cargo handling, and life-saving appliances, including offshore crane load testing inspection, are clearly stated in SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) 1974, Chapters II-1 and III.
- IMO MSC/Circ 1206 Rev.01: Concentrated on crane load testing, third-party inspection, and offshore and maritime certification.
- ILO Convention No. 152 Occupational Safety and Health (Dock Work) 1979: Requires testing and inspection procedures for loading and unloading ships, boats, and offshore rigs, including derrick and winch inspection and crane load testing.
- LOLER 1998: Lifting operations and lifting equipment regulation for pedestal crane load tests and certificates (UK-based but internationally recognized).
- ABS Lifting inspection codes: Comply with deck, offshore, and pedestal crane load testing regulations.
- DNV-ST-0378: Offshore and Platform Lifting Appliances: Cranes and other lifting equipment in ships, vessels, and offshore rigs are subject to proof load testing.
- DNV-ST-0377: Shipboard lifting appliances are covered in DNV-ST-0377, which focuses on testing, inspection, and proof load testing specifications.
CRANE ROCKING MOTION TEST IN OMAN
Rocking motion tests are critical in pedestal crane load testing on ships, offshore supply vessels, research vessels, yachts, and drilling platforms and check the motion effects, lifting stability, load control, and operation safety. During crane load testing and/or by rocking motion, replicates the pitch and roll by functional testing of pedestal cranes at offshore supply vessels, research vessels, yachts, and drilling platforms.
We are performing the rocking motion test to find out the crane’s structural behavior, slewing response, braking efficiency, and hydraulic stability under dynamic conditions by using water bags, water weights, and a dynamometer load cell. Rocking tests shall be performed in accordance with standards such as DNV, ABS, LEEA, and IMO lifting regulations.
