CARGO GRAB LOAD TEST IN OMAN

For bulk cargo handling operations, EIWAA offers load testing, inspection, and certification for cargo grabs and grab buckets that are connected to cranes. To avoid structural failure and dropped loads, the cargo grab must be mechanically and structurally stable, ensure structural integrity throughout handling operations, and adhere to safety norms, port regulations, and ship classification rules. Grab buckets are attached to the lifting equipment of handling units, transshipment vessels, offshore bulk carriers, FPSOs, floating cranes, and port conveyors. Thorough inspection of cargo grab load tests is mainly for structural integrity verifications. After maintenance and repair, cargo grab load testing inspections are mandatory as per SOLAS regulations.

DNV Our qualified marine surveyors with LEEA/LOLER certifications will conduct cargo grab load testing inspection and certification using dynamometer load testing, calibrated water bags, and water weights. The standards of SOLAS, ABS, BV, NK, RINA, and DNV for ship classification are met by structural integrity and regular inspections. The following are maritime codes, ship classification regulations, cargo handling requirements, and inspections for grab bucket load testing:

GRAB BUCKET INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE IN OMAN

The grab bucket’s bucket shells, lip edge, side plates, lifting lugs, guide rollers, and all of the important joints are all inspected structurally. The primary focus of grab bucket maintenance is hydraulic inspection, repair, and maintenance. Welding will be used for repair and maintenance, and nondestructive testing, magnetic particle inspection, ultrasonic testing, and eddy current testing will be used for inspection and NDE evaluation. Opening/closing systems, hydraulic systems, electrical components, locking mechanisms, and limit switches are all included in the mechanical and electrical inspection of cargo grab buckets.
