3D SCANNING AND MODELING OF HULL AIR LUBRICATION IN OMAN
EIWAA Marine helps ship owners install hull air lubrication systems to increase energy efficiency and lower carbon emissions. The Hull air lubrication system can be retrofitted and installed with the help of a feasibility study, 3D laser scanning, 3D modeling, as-built drawings, and comprehensive engineering. The hypothesis of tiny air bubbles or an air layer beneath the hull to lessen frictional assistance while the ship sails is the basis for the development of basic concept drawings. In accordance with IMO regulations and compliance standards, we offer HALS installation support for marine air retrofitting. By assisting with CII compliance and IMO MARPOL Annex VI efficiency measures, the Marine ALS system supports the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) and Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI).
By continuously upgrading inspection, survey, and pathway approvals, we are class-approved maritime surveyors for HALS shipbuilding and retrofitting solutions. Regulations governing required alarms and safety shutdown systems are updated on a regular basis by flag and classification rules of ALS requirements. The IMO’s classification guidelines and requirements for ALS systems installed in ships and other boats are listed below.
- Modifications to the structure include air chambers, hull optimization, air flow routes, and hull strength assurance.
- Integrity and Inspection: Injection valve survey, air supply pipe inspection, NDT inspection, and welding certifications.
- Control system: Additional safety protocols, remote monitoring, safety alerts, etc. must be able to control ALS.
- Power and Energy Optimization: ALS's additional power usage from compressors and blowers should be less than 3% of the ship's overall power.
- Ship classification and flag approval: Plumbing, safety compliance, structural strength optimization, and design and installation.
- Operating Profile: Vessel speed, hull shape, route (voyage, slow streaming), fouling control, etc. are all examples of operational profile compatibility.

3D SCANNING AND MODELING OF ALS SYSTEM IN OMAN
Accurate measurements of the ship’s hull and engine room areas are necessary for precise ship design and hull air lubrication installation. To obtain HD as-built data on vessels, including ducting, pump rooms, funnels, and distribution chambers, we offer 3D laser scanning and modeling services. Reverse engineering and retrofitting are supported with no downtime thanks to accurate 3D scanning onboard, which makes it possible to integrate ALS for ships and vessels. In accordance with IMO rules and system recommendations, our 3D CAD models and point cloud data enable collision identification, layout optimization, and 3D verification. In order to achieve carbon intensity indicator (CII) compliance and revolutionary energy efficiency by lowering carbon emissions, our laser scanning technologies conformed with class approvals.
