- DNV ST-0377: Specifies shipboard lifting appliances and cargo gear survey of testing, examination, thorough inspection, etc. for load handling devices and loose gears. Requirements and methods cover test load, load chart, incremental changes, and lifting appliance inspection and certifications.
- IMO and SOLAS Regulation II-I/3-13: Specifies the safety requirements for onboard lifting appliances and loose lifting gear in ships and vessels.
- RINA Rules REP. 1/E Part A: Rules for the classification of ship-part A specifies classification and survey requirements of cargo gears, cargo handling equipment's requirements, and its requirements of inspection/testing of structural parts and its assemblies.
- LR Codes Part 3, Ch 9, Section 6: Lloyd's Register code for lifting appliances in marine environments for cranes, derricks, winches, and cargo gear for inspection, testing, and certifications. LR has code for lifting appliances in marine environments for the inspection, testing, and fabrication of components.
- NK Rules: NK classification society rules operate under a condition assessment program for machinery, cargo handling parts, and cargo gear for condition assessment, regular inspection, and periodic inspection under ship classification rules.
ADNOC APPROVED OFFSHORE INSPECTION IN UAE
EIWAA is the ADNOC approved Offshore Inspection Companies for cargo gear load testing and lifting appliances inspection. After load testing inspection and certifications of cargo gears and lifting appliances inspection, we provide Cargo gear register, Cargo gear records, and ADNOC approved offshore certificate. Cargo Gear Includes shipboard cranes, derricks, winches, hooks, slings, spreader beams and cargo nets. Cargo Gear Includes securing equipment and handling systems used to move and transport cargo safely. As ADNOC approved Offshore Inspection Companies and DNV Approved service suppliers, we are providing ADNOC approved offshore certificate of securing equipment and handling systems.
We are doing Initial inspection and certification to conduct thorough examination and testing, Safe working load (SWL)verification and proof load testing for issuing the certification and cargo gear register. Annual Thorough examination conducted by an ADNOC Approved inspector every 12 months, we issue valid cargo gear registers and ADNOC approved offshore certificate of shipboard derricks, winches, slings, spreader beams, cargo nets.
CARGO GEAR SURVEY IN UAE
Cargo handling gears and cargo gear surveys, inspections, and testing of cranes, winches, and lifting gears shall be performed annually, periodically, and every 5 years at ships, vessels, and offshore rigs. All types of cargo gear surveys shall be conducted by calibrated water bags, water-filled weight bags, and dynamometer load cells c/w slings, shackles, and grommets.
DNV APPROVED SERVICE SUPPLIERS IN UAE
DNV Approved Service Suppliers means approved or recognized third party companies for cargo gear testing and certification to perform proof load testing, inspection and certification of cargo gears like winches, pad eyes, and other lifting/testing services. EIWAA is audited and approved by DNV (Det Norske Veritas) to meet DNV standards/Quality and technical criteria for shipboard inspection and certification of marine equipment.
If a port wants to do a third party certification of marine cranes and lifting equipment’s; DNV approved services suppliers comes onboard, perform NDT and load tests and issues a DNV recognized certificates as per DNV-ST- 0378 and DNV-ST-0358 .This load testing certificate is accepted for class records and flag state inspections.DNV-ST-0378 Covers standard for offshore and platform lifting appliances of certification requirements, inspection intervals, load testing procedures, NDT Inspection and emergency system.
ABS APPROVED SERVICE SUPPLIERS IN UAE
ABS classed vessel required load testing and NDT Inspection means ABS Approved service suppliers in UAE can perform 5-year crane load test and issue a report under ABS Approval number. Necessity of ABS Approved service suppliers in marine crane load testing and NDT Certification means, ABS itself will not perform cargo gear load testing, and they might give approval for ABS recognized service suppliers or third-party inspection companies. ABS Approved service suppliers perform load testing and certification after initial installation, major repair or modifications, SWL changes, 5 Year special survey and when surveyor needs after got damaged.
